“Some [nonprofit] agencies are paying sizable salaries to their top employees. The executive director at Project Open Hand took in $184,000 in 2006 … the CEO of the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics earned $160,000 … [The head of] the Tenderloin Housing Clinic, was paid $104,757.” The city needs to stop feeding organizations that are getting fat on the city’s tit, and tie money to results, and inspections. I, for one, am happy to have my property tax go toward something that actually works.
