Last week a friend gave me a copy of the July issue of The Central City EXTRA. One of the articles, “Exceptional Eatery”, describes a Jones Street gem — Manor House. This morning, I walked over from The Book Cencern, and checked it out.
I got there about 8:30 am, there were plenty of folks there, but still a good selection of seating. The place is clean, clean clean, and our waitress, Mimi, was super-friendly. Breakfast specials are $3.50, and a cup of coffee is 75 cents (free refills). I had the French toast, bacon and eggs. The chow showed up in about 5 minutes.
Folks in the restaurant seemed to know each other, and the people that worked there — I heard “Bye Mimi” a few times as customers left. If you like diner eats, and a clean. mellow environment, this is the place for you.
Manor House is located at 210 Jones Street, hours are Sunday – Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Thanks for the tip. Can’t believe there is really a cheap place to eat that is clean in the TLoin. I have to check it out this weekend.
