“retail nonprofit universe of dispensaries”

I’ve resuscitated part of this unresolved strategy…”  Oh, Ross.

The proposal by Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi for The City to sell pot took marijuana advocates by surprise, making them none too happy. Especially after they have worked for years in establishing medical marijuana dispensaries under regulations Mirkarimi imposed about three years ago.

After hearing some grumblings, Mirkarimi fired off an e-mail to one marijuana advocate explaining his position and offering assurances his proposal was meant to augment not replace the pot clubs.

“There were two issues left over from our efforts in 2005/2006: taxation and local government’s role in administering a service that could compliment a retail nonprofit universe of dispensaries.  I’ve resuscitated part of this unresolved strategy which aims for a one year pilot,” he wrote.

I feel that the question of ‘legalization’ or legitimization is enhanced when government is also held responsible for liabilities that are unfairly deflected onto others, especially to the medical cannabis dispensary community,” Mirkarimi wrote.  sfexaminer.com

The man loves to talk, but does anyone know what he’s saying? Oh, Ross.
