Friends of the Urban Forest, the North of Market, Tenderloin Community Benefit District and neighborhood volunteers planted 30 [more] new trees in The Tenderloin last August. Stakeholders care for, and repair any damage to the trees.
Last night, one of the saplings in front of 83 McAllister Street was vandalized again. This is the third time that the protective stakes and netting have been stolen — a costly, time consuming and dis-heartening experience.
