In their infinite wisdom, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted 7-3 in favor of considering fire station
brownouts as a possible budget deficit fix. Rolling brownouts equals closing down fire stations for a few days at a time, on a rotating basis. WTF?

Supervisors Sean Elsbernd, Michela Alioto-Pier and Bevan Dufty opposed the proposal.
In other news, the Board of Supervisors did NOT reject MUNI’s proposed budget. Getting mugged on MUNI, while sitting in barf will cost $2.00 on July 1. That’s a 33.333% increase! Clutch the pearls! Before someone grabs them…
