Board of Supervisors: Can we have MORE of your money?

Board of Supervisors want your money!

Board of Supervisors want your money!

City government is trying to reach into your wallets again. Tuesday, July 21, the Board of Supervisors will be voting on two Ordinances to increase your taxes — to be submitted for voter approval at the November 3, 2009, election.

090136 – Measure adopting and submitting to the voters an ordinance imposing a local assessment on all vehicles in San Francisco that are subject to Department of Motor Vehicle registration. Supervisors Chiu, Dufty, Mirkarimi.

The Ordinance would require declaring emergency under California Constitution Article XIIIC, Section 2(b) authorizing submission to voters of ordinance imposing a local assessment on all vehicles in San Francisco that are subject to Department of Motor Vehicle registration. Currently, only the State of California can impose this type of tax. If The Board of Supervisors are successful – San Francisco will be the only city in California imposing local assessment on ALL vehicles!

0901340.50% Sales Tax Increase for Health and Human Services and Public Protection. Supervisor Avalos.

Last week the BOS approved the following fee increases for working-class families:

Latch Key and After School programs, Ambulance Emergency Medical, Aquatic facilities entry, Athletic Field use, Cigarette Fee, Day Camp, Fire Dept Emergency, Fire Dept License Fees, Conservatory of Flowers entry, Restaurant surcharge, Fire Inspection, Medical Examiner Copies, Kezar Parking Lot, Patient Rates, Recreation Center access, Street Artist license, Street Fair Permits, Japanese Tea Garden entrance, and Tree Permits FU*K!!!

I urge you to contact the Board of Supervisors regarding your money.

  1. Thanks for posting this. I am fairly new to social media and my blog traffic is slowly increasing. I am fairly confident it’s due to me spending a good deal of time commenting on other blogs. Not only does it get my blog out there, but more importantly, I can keep up with what bloggers and readers are talking about! I also spend a great deal of time on Facebook and Twitter… But I really want to reach out to other bloggers in my same arena.
