San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera asked a judge Wednesday to close a Tenderloin strip club that he called a “notorious public nuisance” that’s been operating illegally.
“We’re saying enough is enough,” Herrera said after his office filed the request in San Francisco Superior Court. “Pink Diamonds needs to be shut down before another life is lost.”
Pink Diamonds nightclub, formerly Club Vixen, has been the scene of shootings and alleged prostitution; on June 27, 30-year-old Harris Fulbright was gunned down in a dispute with someone in line at the club. His slaying remains unsolved.
Herrera sued the club in January, saying it was a public nuisance and had been operating without required state and local permits, including a liquor license and an extended-hours permit… [sfgate.com]
