I’m “Meh” on this one. I work at 8th/Market and walk past here a lot.
When it first went up, it got heavy use from the smokers. Ooops, sorry, someone forgot it’s illegal to smoke, even outside, at a patio like this. Soooo the “No Smoking” signs go up and the usage has gone down to almost zero.
I like the concept, but it’s about 50% too big for this sidewalk. It really creates a choke point, particularly when a tour bus loads or unloads.
